Chanceler Apartments are located in Alfama in one of the few privately owned palaces of Lisbon. The palace, which dates back from the XVII century, is easily recognizable by the beautiful arches that constitute its main entrance.
The owners Maria and Helena have a very special bond with the apartments. It’s their childhood’s home and it has been in their family for more than 200 years. Therefore they go to great length to make the guests feel at home.

In the heart of Alfama, you'll find these newly renovated apartments decorated with charm and style. Since they’re located in the historic district of Lisbon, they're walking distance to most of its sites. The Castle of São Jorge, Feira da Ladra, Sé Cathedral and baixa are all walking distant. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the meandering streets of Alfama, interact with the locals and savor its nice restaurants while listening to Fado. The famous tram 28 is just around the corner; the metro station of Santa Apolonia is just 5 minutes away.

Upon your arrival the property owner will greet you with a nice basket of fresh and tasty seasonal fruits. 
You'll then be introduced to the neighborhood and given all the necessary explanation on what to do. 
This off course is done in fluent English, French, Spanish, and with a little effort German!!!
All the beds are made with god quality linen with warm duvets for the winter and light for the summer.
You'll be able to relax in comfort after a long day of strolling through one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Lisbon.
